To My TBAY Family:
I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful Installation Weekend we just shared. It was one of the most wonderful moments of my life. It was a great joy to share this time with you and to celebrate the special community we share.
I want to especially thank all the volunteers and participants for the love and care and work they put into making these services and events so special for all of us. The ceremonies were powerful and fun and meaningful, the Shabbat services and the music were joyful and uplifting, the students were inspiring, the technology ran smoothly and allowed people at home to participate, the decorations were beautiful, the setup and logistics were seamless, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The ad journal is really something and I am so touched by the lovely messages in it! If you have not seen it, please do look at the PDF here or pick one up at the office. I will treasure the gifts, words (and poem!), and photos forever.
If you would like to read my remarks and D’Var Torah from Friday night, you can do so here.
My heart is so full. The power of our community is incredible. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly this weekend… and two years ago… and each day in between. May we go from strength to strength together!
B’ahavah v’todah- With love and thanks,
Rabbi Rubin : )
P.S. We have put together a website where we are loading videos from the weekend. It currently includes the montage of my journey to and with TBAY and the special melodies I sang Shabbat morning – Adon Olam to a medley from Pirates of Penzance and a fun Shehecheyanu. We’ll be adding more in the coming weeks. You can find it here.
