Shabbat Shalom!
Shabbat Greetings: https://youtu.be/fZVMmA6qLRU
Torah Question of the Week: When someone gives you a gift, do they still have a claim on it? Do they notice how or if you use it? Are they disappointed or upset if you discard it or give it away? In this week’s Torah portion, Abraham insists on purchasing land for Sarah’s burial and will not accept the land as a gift. How do you feel about gifts you give or receive – and whether they truly are the recipient’s to do with as they please?
This weekend we celebrate two of our youth, as Addison Adornato and Jake Haber are called to the Torah and become Bar Mitzvah. They will both help lead tonight’s Kabbalat Shabbat service at 8:00 p.m. Tomorrow morning, we will celebrate Addison’s Bar Mitzvah at Shabbat morning services beginning at 9:30 a.m. Tomorrow afternoon, we will celebrate Jake’s Bar Mitzvah at Shabbat afternoon services beginning at 4:30 a.m. Friday’s service is multi-access: in person and on Zoom. To register to come in person, please go to https://tinyurl.com/TBAY-Shabbat. On Saturday, we ask that congregants join on Zoom. The Zoom links can be found in the Shabbat Preview.
Shabbat Shalom!
