Shabbat Shalom!

Torah Question of the Week: Have you ever withheld the truth or told a lie to avoid getting in trouble or to save face (or have you had another person do this to you)?? In this week’s Torah portion, Joseph’s brothers lead Jacob to believe that Joseph has been eaten by a wild animal, hiding their involvement… and breaking their father’s heart. What were the consequences of withholding the truth when you experienced them? Is there a difference between withholding the truth and telling a lie?
