On Saturday, we discussed the presence of God in the Mishkan and the cloud lifting to tell the Israelites it was time to move on. We considered why the cloud needed to be there and why the text does not say that the Israelites complained that they never knew how long they would be in any one place. Was it because they trusted God completely? Was it that it happened and the text just left it out? If so, why was it left out? What do you think? Here is the source sheet.
