Shalom TBAY!
Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? April Modlinger gave a wonderful D’Var Torah. I will post a link to it shortly.
On Saturday, we discussed the juxtaposition of the instructions to Aaron concerning the Avodah service, a time when the High Priest symbolically releases the entire community of Israel from their sins. If comes shortly after his two sons die after offering up alien fire to God. We talked about how we can begin to heal a loss by creating a legacy and seeing that legacy, which is what we were doing on Shabbat by honoring Miriam Gershwin and naming her great-granddaughter for her.
