Shalom TBAY!
We had a wonderful time at the JCC Campsite Shabbat. If you weren’t able to come, I hope you will come next year!
On Saturday, we discussed why God was angry with Bil’am when he went with Balak’s messengers. Was it because he should have understood from his first conversation with God that it was not God’s intention for him to go, even though God had said in the second conversation that he could? Was it because of the manner in which Bil’am went, that he rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and did not even mention that God had given him permission? Or was it that he actually had his own agenda: that he wanted to curse the Israelites even though God had told him he could not. What do you think? Here is a link to the Source Sheet.
