Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, is a fun opportunity to join together as a community. We light our giant Hanukkiah (special Hanukkah menorah) outside each night and then celebrate with food and fun.
Different members of our community lead the lighting each night: our Early Childhood Program children and parents and teachers, our religious school families and teachers, Men’s Club, Women’s League, the TBAY officers and the TBAY Board, and our tikkun olam volunteers.
And Hanukkah is a great time for social celebrations! Our Women’s League holds its annual Hanukkah party and gift exchange, and our Shorashim families enjoy a special Hanukkah dinner with latkes prior to Friday night services.
We have special morning services during the Festival, including Torah reading and Hallel chanting.
